Curcumin, also known as turmeric, is a medicinal herb that is most widely known for its presence in Indian curries. Its bulbous root has been hailed for its medicinal properties as an anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer agent. As you can see, its perrenial flower is strikingly-beautiful hot pink and blooms every year around Easter season. After a few weeks, the flowers are overtaken by beautiful green leaves with a purple stripe down the middle.
We use fresh curcumin in our healthy vegan food, and also as a topical medicine for treating some skin conditions in humans and animals.
